Screening & Talk Back: Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round

In observance of MLK Jr. Day and Black History Month, the New Castle Committee on Inclusion and Belonging invites the community to a screening of the acclaimed documentary Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round  at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center.

The film explores the 1960 Glen Echo Park sit-ins, highlighting how young Black activists, alongside Jewish, Quakers, and interfaith allies challenged segregation through nonviolent action. The screening will be followed by a moderated discussion led by Joyce Sharock Cole, Village of Ossining Historian and Board member of JTC Experiences and co-author of the film’s official educational guide, developed in collaboration with the film’s director.
