Fright Night Rewind: The Sixth Sense

Looking for a spooky night out for your middle schooler? Drop them off at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center for a screening of the classic supernatural thriller The Sixth Sense.

This PG-13 1999 film follows a young boy who believes he can see and communicate with ghosts and a child psychologist who tries to help him understand what he is experiencing. The movie is suspenseful, atmospheric, and frightening at times, with themes involving ghosts, death, fear, and grief. It includes some disturbing imagery and intense scenes, but is not a gore-heavy horror film.

THE HAUNTED MINI-MAZE

Think the scares are over when the movie ends? Think again. As students exit the theater they will step into our Haunted Mini-Maze and navigate their way through twists, shadows, and a few heart-stopping surprises.

What parents should know: This is a true supernatural thriller and is considerably scarier than a typical Halloween or family movie. There are several suspenseful and frightening moments, including ghostly appearances, references to death and violence, and scenes that may be unsettling for sensitive viewers. The film has a famous twist ending.

Students will be supervised by staff during the program. Drop-off and pick-up will be in the lobby of the ChappPAC. Parents/guardians should use their discretion when deciding whether The Sixth Sense is appropriate for their child.

Drop-off: Students may be dropped at off starting at 6:30PM prior to the screening and picked up by 9:00PM. Additional program and pick-up details will be provided upon registration.
