SUMMARY:Film "On The Map" and post screening discussion with Tal Brody.
DESCRIPTION:In 1977\, the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team prevailed over CSKA Moscow (known in the West as Red Army)\, a team that refused to play against Israel. Moments after this highly charged and historical win\, Israeli-American basketball hero Tal Brody captured the heart of the nation when he famously said\, “Israel is on the map\, not just in sport\, but in everything.” The story of this triumph against all odds is told through the eyes of six American basketball players who joined Maccabi Tel Aviv.

SUMMARY:The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee 12/14 & 12/15
DESCRIPTION:COME SEE THE TALENT OF LYT’S SENIOR CAST OF SPELLING BEE AND WHO KNOWS\, MAYBE YOU WILL BE SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SPELLING BEE! \n(YES\, SPELLING BEE IS INTERACTIVE AND WE WILL ASK FOR SOME VOLUNTEERS FROM THE AUDIENCE\, BUT YOU MUST FILL OUT THE FORM IN THE LOBBY BEFORE THE SHOW) \n  \nTWO GREAT CASTS – TWO GREAT PERFORMANCES \nSix awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn’t everything. Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book\, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced\, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn\, this bee is one unforgettable experience. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives\, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words\, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing\, pout-inducing\, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box. \nA riotous ride\, complete with audience participation\, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius. The small cast and unit set make this a perfect option for high schools or community theatres. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a fast-paced crowd pleaser and an instant theatre patron favorite. \n  \nDirected by John Fanelli \n

SUMMARY:What Fresh Hell: Laughing in the Face of Motherhood
DESCRIPTION:We are Amy Wilson and Margaret Ables\, two moms with tons of experience in comedy. Amy wrote a bestselling parenting book\, toured the country with a one-woman show called Mother Load\, and was a series regular on several sitcoms. Margaret started out in standup\, wrote for PBS Kids and MTV\, and became a senior writer for Nickelodeons Nick Mom. Along the way\, we also each became mothers of three children\, now aged 6 to 15. \nWe engage with the same parenting issues every mother does\, although we do things differently. Margaret raises her kids in suburbia; Amy is raising her kids in the city. Margaret is laissez-faire; Amy is an over-thinker of the highest order. For each of us\, some parenting challenges are more difficult than others; but if we put our heads together\, we come up with solutions.
