DESCRIPTION:We are Amy Wilson and Margaret Ables\, two moms with tons of experience in comedy. Amy wrote a bestselling parenting book\, toured the country with a one-woman show called Mother Load\, and was a series regular on several sitcoms. Margaret started out in standup\, wrote for PBS Kids and MTV\, and became a senior writer for Nickelodeons Nick Mom. Along the way\, we also each became mothers of three children\, now aged 6 to 15. \nWe engage with the same parenting issues every mother does\, although we do things differently. Margaret raises her kids in suburbia; Amy is raising her kids in the city. Margaret is laissez-faire; Amy is an over-thinker of the highest order. For each of us\, some parenting challenges are more difficult than others; but if we put our heads together\, we come up with solutions.

DESCRIPTION:Tim Kubart’s concerts are an indie pop dance party for all ages. Joined on stage by his \nband\, the “Space Cadets” (and a tap-dancing sidekick!)\, Tim performs songs \ncelebrating real life kid and family moments and milestones. No matter the venue\, a Tim \nKubart and the Space Cadets show is highly interactive\, musically rich\, and always \nspeaks to kids at the top of their intelligence. \n  \nTim Kubart discovered his passion for making music for kids and families while \nvolunteering in the nursery of an NYC homeless shelter during college. After \ndiscovering his vocation\, Tim strapped his guitar on his back\, and sang everywhere and \nanywhere\, performing over 5\,000 preschool music classes\, 900 birthday parties\, and \neventually full scale productions on national stages and theatres\, leading him to be \nnamed “the kindie scene’s breakout star” by New York Family. \n  \nAlong the way\, he picked up a Grammy Award for Best Children’s Album (Home\, 2015) \nand became an on-camera host of the Emmy-nominated morning show for preschoolers \n“Sunny Side Up” on NBCUniversal’s Sprout Channel. Tim sings songs\, performs \nsketches\, and shares mornings with a national audience of kids and their caregivers \neach day\, alongside his co-host Chica the Chicken. Tim made his Sprout debut \nperforming on a float at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. DESCRIPTION:Brazilian tap dancer Leonardo Sandoval\, described by the Chicago Sun-Times as “strong yet fine-boned\, capable of authority and nuance”\, and praised by the New York Times for his “rousing” choreography\, has established a reputation in the tap world and beyond for his musicality and for adding his own Brazilian flavor to the American art of tap dancing. He helped bring tap to a wider audience in Brazil via numerous TV appearances\, and by co-founding the Cia Carioca de Sapateado in Rio de Janeiro. \nNow based in New York\, he is a member of Michelle Dorrance’s acclaimed company\, Dorrance Dance\, performing across the United States and abroad\, and is an artist in residence at the American Tap Dance Foundation. Leo is also in demand as a solo performer and as a choreographer\, and had his worked performed at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and Chicago Human Rhythm Project\, among others. Leo has also toured extensively as a solo artist\, including at the National Folk Festival\, a rare honor for a tap dancer. \nLeo’s choreography and performing style are rooted in America’s great tap dance heritage and in Brazil’s rich rhythmic and musical traditions\, with additional influences from jazz and contemporary dance.

Rickie is\nboth a character in the songs and the songwriter singing\, defying convention with her sometimes brazen sexuality and the mixed bag of jazz\, rock and what has come to be known as ‘confessional’ songwriter performances. \nHer latest album The Other Side of Desire was written\, recorded and rooted in the city of New Orleans\, where Jones lives on the opposite side of the street made famous by Tennesse Williams. DESCRIPTION:Please join Hubbels Music of Bedford Hills\, NY in a night that showcases just some of Hubbels’ hardworking and extraordinary young pianists! In addition to students performing the works of composers such as Handel\, Chopin\, Fauré\, Mozart and Rameau\, they will be joined by studio owner and pianist Kate Demas\, Manhattan-based soprano and fellow Keene alumni Jenny Beauregard\, and Carnegie Mellon standout violinist Jasper Rogal\, accompanied by Hubbels’ teacher Lynda Rogal. All ticket sales will be donated to the Make a Wish Foundation of Hudson Valley.
